About Aaron
Aaron Brumer has built a distinctive practice that combines architectural design and real estate development expertise. His portfolio of residential, commercial and retail projects reaches across California and includes consulting services such as financial analysis, capacity studies, and agency reviews for prominent real estate developers. Aaron’s modernist focus blends simplicity, elegance and spatial economy with appreciation for the value of natural light and outdoor access in ensuring human comfort and wellbeing. His work focuses on adding contemporary form and, if needed, density without sacrificing the scale and feel of a neighborhood.
With dual master’s degrees—a Master of Architecture from Harvard University and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California—Aaron‘s projects provide clients an ideal balance of beauty and fiscal responsibility.
Architecture Services
Aaron founded Aaron Brumer & Associates in 2006 with a vision to serve diverse building types. The firm’s residential portfolio includes small-lot subdivisions, single family dwellings, and multi-family developments. Additional project types include retail tenant improvements and restaurants.
Aaron’s experience spans numerous jurisdictions in California and beyond. He is thoroughly versed in the state’s entitlement and approvals processes and has successfully navigated Los Angeles’ many design review boards, specific plan areas, and entitlement processes. In addition, he has a great deal of experience with other municipalities including Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Pasadena, and Culver City.
Real Estate Development Services
Aaron often assists clients in determining a property’s highest and best use while performing the requisite financial analysis. His development expertise crosses entitlement, design and construction processes as well as financial and marketing functions. He conducts feasibility analyses, zoning reviews, static proformas, and cash flow evaluations for small-lot subdivisions, multi-family and mixed-use developments, and retail projects.
